Privacy Policy

Kanutus ("we", "us") provides real-time voice translation for online calls through a desktop app and the website kanutus.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Account data: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile picture.
• Voice recordings you choose to make: a short sample used to create your translated voice. You can delete it at any time.
• Call audio while translation is on: processed in real time to transcribe, translate and synthesise speech. It is not stored after the session ends.
• Usage data: session duration, number of sentences and characters synthesised, used for billing and limits.

How we use it

• To provide the translation service you turn on, and to show you your usage and costs.
• To create and use the voice you recorded, only for your own translated speech.
• To send account emails such as sign-in links. We do not send marketing email without your consent.

We do not sell your personal data and do not use your audio to train models.

Google user data

When you sign in with Google we receive only your basic profile (name, email, picture) to create and identify your account. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Service providers

We use trusted processors to run the service: Supabase (accounts and storage), our GPU servers (speech recognition and translation), ElevenLabs (speech synthesis and voice creation), Resend (account email) and our payment provider. They process data only on our instructions.

Retention and your rights

Account data is kept while your account is active. You can delete voices and recordings in the app, and you can ask us to delete your account and all associated data by writing to mailing@kanutus.com. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or Brazil's LGPD) you may also request access, correction or a copy of your data.
